Hershel has five years of hands-on experience in the land clearing business. His wife Lara graduated from The University of Georgia in 2023 with her Doctorate of Pharmacy. She now works as a compounding pharmacist at Medi-Thrift Pharmacy, along with providing administrative assistance to the company.

In their free time they enjoy spending time with friends and family, playing with their Goldendoodle Maggie, trail riding on the side by side, and UGA football games.
